

The Streets Were CrowdedRain. More drizzle than actual drops, it halted the movement of the city. The deluge obscured with a translucent curtain the few sidewalk passerby, though vague silhouettes plagued the steaming café window. Nestled inside the old stone building were patrons of all sizes seeking solace in their drinks and each other. Hat askew, a withered man in the corner brushed dirty hair from his eye and tapped his keyboard impatiently. His mind was clouded, unfocused, lingering on confusion, and even four cups of French brew did nothing to clear the bog of words behind his eyes.
